The Enneagram is a personality typing system that is rapidly growing in popularity and it consists of nine types. The Enneagram has 9 types are named numbers 1-9 and your enneagram type is determined by your core desire that you took on in childhood.
Each enneagram also has a childhood wound associated with your core desire. This childhood programming has created instilled desires and fears that drive all your actions and give you personality traits.
The common problem with the enneagram is that it’s almost impossible to type yourself correctly. Because your enneagram type is dictated by a subconscious childhood wound and most likely, an unconscious desire, knowing our enneagram type is impossible.

This is the first and only test I took when first getting into the enneagram. Eclectic energies has two free Enneagram tests. Their first test is similar to Truity’s where they have you rate statements on a scale of yes, partly, and no. The main difference is that their scale is much more limited.
In their second test, they compare 2 qualities and have you place yourself on a scale. This test can be extremely fast to take if you’re curious about the Enneagram but don’t want to commit to a full test.
However, when I took this test starting out, I tested incorrectly 2 times in a row on my own. But when I took these tests with family members present, I was able to accurately type myself.

Without a doubt, Psychology Junkie has a very thorough quiz to make sure that you get the correct personality. The only potential flaw is that it has a lot of questions that can feel simple or unnecessary. But for someone who is new to the Enneagram, this is one of the best quizzes. With fun and non-judgemental questions, this quiz will make you feel proud of yourself no matter what type you get.
One last note is that this quiz does focus a bit too much on stereotypes of each enneagram type. A 7 could see themselves like a 3 and a 9 would potentially see themselves more like a 5 or 7. But overall, this is a great quiz if you’re just messing around and interested in personality quizzes.

Enneagram universe has a long and simple free enneagram test you can take which consists of 144 questions. While it is long, it can be fast to take this test as each question has only 2 answers to choose from.
The best part is that they have a 2 question quiz that tends to be fairly accurate. So you can find out your enneagram on this test in less than 60 seconds.
Enneagram Universe’s other test is very long, and perfect for if you’re bored and want something to do or if you’re committed to finding your true type. The questions can stereotype a little and doesn’t take Ennegaram wings into account which are a major factor in finding your type.

Crystal knows takes the simple approach to a free enneagram test by using a rating scale (like many other tests mentioned in this blog) and sticks mainly to recognizing core desire. So someone who doesn’t know their own desires well could struggle to find the true type.
Overall this is still a great quiz! I would suggest you go more extreme in the questions and you’ll more likely test correctly. If you prefer a disagree-agree scale based test, then this is a great test to take to start finding your enneagram type.
