Read below and compare whether you think you are an enneagram 6w7 or 7w6…

Enneagram 6w7
The 6w7 cares about having loyal connections and friends. Once type 6’s need for security is fulfilled, they want to have fun.
This 6w7 is the more extroverted wing. Called “The Buddy,” these people take on the appearance of The Enthusiast in some aspects, meaning that they seem social, loud, talkative, friendly, and fun.

The 6w7’s motto is “let’s make sure things are safe and then we can go party!” It is extremely important to the 6w7 that they have present stability and community.
In general, the 6w7 will prefer to have a bigger social circle. Make time to be with friends you can trust if this is your wing. You value fun so allow room for that fun side of you to show.
And when you don’t get these needs fulfilled, you’ll become bitter, controlling, and aggressive. The 7w6 on the other hand will avoid their negativity and maintain a facade of happiness when their needs aren’t being met.

Enneagram 7w6
Known as The Entertainer, the 7w6 takes on the appearance of The Loyalist in many ways. They appear excited, cautious, routine-oriented, and community-focused.
The 7w6 wants to have fun and a routine that keeps them stable. The 7w6 is called “The Entertainer.” These people can seem a bit anxious when it comes to uncertainty and adventure. 7w6s’ are social butterflies and they love to be part of community events, throw parties, volunteer, etc.

7w6s care a lot about stability. Sevens in general love to have fun, but with a six wing, you want routine and a stable source of income so you can optimize your fun time.
7w6s need routines and systems in place that keep them in check and provide you with the grounding you deeply desire.
Because the 7w6 is a 7 at their core, they go to avoidance of emotion in stress. When they become burnt out, the 7w6 will try to maintain a sense of positivity by spending time amongst people.
This is different from the 6w7, who becomes aggressive and controlling in stress.

Enneagram 6w5 VS 7w8
Because each enneagram type has the ability to tap into both wings, it’s important to take them into account when figuring out if you are a 6w7 or a 7w6.

Known as The Defender, your 5 wing makes you rational, fact-oriented, reserved, and quiet at times.
This wing 5 gives you the desire to research and be alone. there’s a lens of rationality to everything the type 6 does because of this wing.
If you are an enneagram 7 with a 6 wing, you don’t have this rationality as much.
The Enneagram 7w6 Also Has An 8 Wing

If you are an enneagram 6 with a 7 wing, you don’t have this “intense” side of you that the 7w6 can tap into.
